Pak Iraq Business & Trade
Pakistan and Iraq are determined to strengthen their trade and business relations. In 2024, Pakistan successfully exported approximately $54.29 million worth of goods to Iraq, while imports from Iraq reached about $145.46 million, predominantly consisting of petroleum products. Recognizing their significant untapped potential, both countries signed a strategic agreement during the 9th Pakistan-Iraq Joint Ministerial Commission in Baghdad. This agreement commits to enhancing cooperation across key sectors, including garments, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and workforce development. Furthermore, ambitious proposals were put forth for the construction of a sea link between Karachi and Basra, as well as an oil pipeline connecting Basra to Pakistan.
