The trade relations between Pakistan and UAE have fostered an integrated economy that bolsters prosperity for both nations. For the financial year of 2023-2024, bilateral trade between Pakistan and UAE was valued at over $10.9 billion, with exports from Pakistan increasing by 41.06% to $2.08 billion and total imports from the UAE reaching at $6.33 billion. This positive increment in trade showcases further joint efforts toward fostering bilateral economic growth.
The remittance market also marks UAE as a leading contributor to Pakistan, with their remittance contribution estimated hitting $6.7 billion in 2024, with forecasts suggesting an increment of more than $7 billion in 2025. Such high values of earnings from abroad strengthen the economy of Pakistan significantly.
In addition, the United Arab Emirates has pledged to fund $10 billion towards boosting infrastructure, energy and technology sectors of Pakistan, which show deep ties and trust in the Pakistan economy. This alliance promises to bring positive mutual economic growth and prosperity to the nations while offering continued development.

Pak UAE Business Councils
There are THREE active Pakistani business councils in the United Arab Emirates, each dedicated to strengthening economic and professional ties between Pakistan and the UAE. These include the Pakistan Business Council Dubai, Pakistan Business Council Sharjah, and the Pakistan Business Professional Council Abu Dhabi.
Pak UAE Business Council Dubai
The Pakistan Business Council Dubai was established by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industries for the purpose of facilitating Pakistani companies and professionals in Dubai and the Northern Emirates for business connections and information exchange relating to Pakistan.
The Pakistan-UAE Business Council Dubai is an important platform for promoting economic collaboration and trade relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. Following the vision of promoting business partnerships, the council unites entrepreneurs, business people, and specialists of both countries. It facilitates mutual development through networking activities and supports Pakistani businesses in UAE while promoting investment in Pakistan’s important areas.

Pak UAE Business Council Sharjah
(PBCS) is an active platform working towards deepening economic cooperation between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. Registered as a unit of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, PBCS provides Pakistani entrepreneurs and business establishments with chances to market their activities in the UAE, spread across regional markets, and get into joint ventures in the form of conferences, exhibitions, and exchange of delegates.
With Chairman Dr. S.M. Tahir at the helm, the council seeks to bring together the Pakistani business community and the UAE to create trade and development that will serve both nations. The council arranges trade visits, business-to-business meetings, and exhibitions to develop and promote Pakistani exports for new markets.

Pak UAE Business Council Abu Dhabi
Pakistan Business Professional Council (PBPC) was formed on 26th December, 2004, and was opened by the President of Pakistan on June 6, 2005, at Emirates Palace Hotel, Abu Dhabi – UAE. Under the patronage of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
The PBPC was conceived by top corporate managers of Pakistani origin residing and working in the UAE, who envisioned the council offering a platform that would facilitate the facilitation of commercial relationships between Pakistan and the UAE.
Pakistan culturally, geographically and strategically has very unique relationships with the UAE. Keeping this in view it is the aim of the PBPC to further develop these relationships through its membership and structured events. Membership of the PBPC is open to all Pakistani business professionals as well as UAE companies interested in Pakistan.
Since its establishment the PBPC has attended several conferences and exhibitions and in the coming years the PBPC will focus its efforts on raising awareness among the local community of Pakistani capabilities and investment opportunities.
